Slide into home and call it a win! You, marvelous Chamber members, have had a whiz-bang, double-whammy couple of weeks – capped by a successful CWS and powered by the assurance of summer’s continued sunshine.

Lift your right arm and give yourself a pat on the back, because you’ve done it again: You’ve created community, inviting the world to “Come for the Games and Stay for the Careers,” at this year’s College World Series, a story you helped tell, that reached an audience of more than 84M, in 220+ publications from right here at home, in the Greater Omaha Chamber.

Plus, you joined nearly 400 friends in kicking off the Chamber’s 125th anniversary with a community-wide celebration covered by the Omaha World-HeraldMidlands Business Journal, and Daily Record that showed 125 years is equal parts foundation and future; not to mention, our research team represented as Resonance Consultancy ranked Omaha the No. 2 “Best Small City.”

Add to this the region’s six county Economic Development Partnership/Advance Southwest Iowa’s announcement of Warren Distribution’s expansion, and Pillar’s promise of the organization’s next “Forge” in Council Bluffs – creating jobs our talent team is ready to tackle – and, like rain sluicing toward the riverfront, there’s no stopping your momentum.

Speaking of the riverfront, the region’s expansion in this regard is all about revitalization – which, to your magnificent membership means powerful progress

Now, whether you plan to start counting the days until the next world curling competition (Congratulations, Ralston Arena, Omaha Sports Commission and the entire community), or are wondering what others are saying about We Don’t Coast, know that you are ever-awesome – the apex of members in a community that cares.

You are also celebrated by the tenacious and visionary, your Chamber colleagues. From our new EVP rocking a radio interview, to your Chamber marketing team creating the world’s only Platte to Pacific hourglass for the USS Omaha.

No doubt about it you are extraordinary – and that’s exactly why we are here, working tirelessly for you.
