Interested in joining the GOCYP Council?
We look for young professionals, age 40 and under, who are employed by a Chamber member company.
About the Council
GOCYP is led by a council, not a board of directors. The group, aligned with goals to attract and retain talent in the region, is advised by engaged and energetic young professionals.
Council members apply and are selected for three-year terms. They meet monthly and represent young professionals at a number of community events. For the past 10 years, council members have helped plan the YP Summit, our flagship event.
2019 Applications — available August 1st.
Applications will open August 1, 2018 and will be due September 4 at 11:59 p.m. Click here to access this year’s application.
New council members will be selected this summer and serve a three-year term beginning January 2019 and ending December 2021.
To learn more about serving on the council, we invite you to attend the next YP Council Meeting (details below) and reach out to current members. Also download and view the GOCYP Council Expectations and Responsibilities for a better overview of council member roles.
Join us at the next YP Council Meeting on Tuesday, August 14, from 7:30 – 9 am at the Greater Omaha Chamber (808 Conagra Drive, Suite 400). If you’re interested in attending this meeting, please RSVP. Reach out to council member and selection chair Noah McClain with any additional questions.
Real Talk Virtual Event
