Union Pacific Ties, Union Pacific’s Young Professionals Group

Union Pacific Ties, aka UP Ties, is company ERG focused on connecting, developing, and empowering young professionals through collaborative, social, and community-minded opportunities.

UP Ties focuses its events and initiatives on five strategic pillars:
Advocates for issues that affect young professionals
Builds a community of peers through networking opportunities
Connects young professionals with influential leaders
Develops members professionally and personally
Engages in the community through philanthropic activities

Partner with UP Ties on community events. UP Ties hosts annual community events each year: May - Dodgeball Tournament June - Golf Tournament Various other events throughout the year To notified of upcoming community events hosted by UP Ties or to invite UP Ties members to your community events, email UPTies@UP.com.
Become a charity partner. The nomination period for the UP Ties charity partners is held in the fall of each year. Please email UPTies@UP.com the name of the charity and the contact information for that charity. The community involvement co-chairs will send a form to the charity to complete detailing the organization's mission, volunteer opportunities, and what the organization plans to do with the donated funds. All nominations will be reviewed by the UP Ties Leadership team to narrow down the top three finalists. The top three finalists will then be sent to all UP Ties members for a final vote. Criteria for nomination: -Organization must be a 501(c)(3) -Organization is preferably a local organization or has a local chapter that receives donations -Organization has not been a UP Ties Charity Partner previously -Organization has volunteer opportunities throughout the year for UP Ties to support Here are the past UP Ties Charity Partners: 2019: FITGirl Inc. 2018: inCOMMON Community Development 2017: Students.
