JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our goal is to eventually cure and prevent T1D entirely. Along the way to a cure, we will continue to drive scientific progress that delivers new treatments and therapies that make day-to-day life with T1D easier, safer, and healthier. This means that we invest in research opportunities that not only continue our pursuit for a cure but also improve treatments to ensure people with T1D are healthy and happy until a cure is found.
The JDRF Young Leadership Committee (YLC) is a group of young professionals dedicated to raising funds for and awareness of JDRF. The committee hosts various fundraising, networking, and social events. YLC supports the JDRF Omaha-Council Bluffs Chapter through the events that are dynamic, energetic, and fun. Members of YLC are young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40-both with and without type 1 diabetes (T1D). YLC is also in need of the volunteer assistance of those who may be younger than 21.
