What are employee resource groups?

Employee resource groups are often voluntary, employee-led groups within an organization or company that aim to bring employees together to create a more inclusive and accepting workplace. ERGs are often led by employees and have a focus on a specific area of growth within an organization or company.

Why are employee resource groups important?
Employee resource groups can help bring employees together to work toward a common goal or challenge, especially toward charging a necessary cultural shift within an organization or company. ERGs provide opportunities for employees to lead outside of their day-to-day roles and to take on new and invigorating responsibilities. ERGs can also provide a safe space for employees to share, grow and learn from each other.
