According to an Omaha World-Herald report, the rate of young professionals moving out of the Omaha metro area is greater than the rate moving into the city, with a net out-migration of 4,800 per year. A survey conducted by Blueprint Nebraska reinforces this trend, as the top two concerns for Nebraska’s economy is its ability to attract and retain qualified employees and retain young people.
Through a comprehensive Exit Survey, the YP Council is looking to discover the top reasons young professionals are deciding to leave the city. The primary goal is to identify factors within our control to attract/retain talent in Omaha metro.
