Omaha, Neb., September 14, 2020 – The Startup Collaborative (TSC), in partnership with the Greater Omaha Chamber and community stakeholders, today announced “7 Days to Think Like a Founder,” the region’s first collective market-disruption strategy designed to simultaneously catalyze tech entrepreneurs.

“There is more opportunity than most have seen in their lifetime for entrepreneurs now. If you are even the least bit curious about having a founder mindset, sign up and spend a few minutes a day with us for just one week,” said Erica Wassinger, co-founder, The Startup Collaborative.

Designed to guide entrepreneurs in “how to start,” the “7-Day” project creates learning and discovery opportunities for innovators at a critical time, in a growing tech market: Council Bluffs, Lincoln and Omaha.

The combined locales of Omaha and Council Bluffs, for example, were recently named one of “the 17 best cities for millennials to live in post-coronavirus,” according to Business Insider; while MarketWatch ranked Lincoln and Omaha the nation’s No. 1 “up-and-coming tech hotspot.”

“Talking with someone successful miles ahead of you isn’t the same as talking with someone who is in the trenches at the same time…it’s good to be reminded that you’re not alone,” said TSC alum, Carina Glover, founder and CEO, HerHeadquarters, of the support she received during her business launch.

Program participants in the current challenge will receive a no-cost Gallup Builder Profile 10 (BP10), access to ecosystem leaders and an introduction to TSC’s full program.

“Greater Omaha is a terrific place to start, and we’re proud of Eastern Nebraska’s ecosystem of founders, funders and innovators that make our seven-county region a perfect place for pivots. If you’ve ever thought about life as an entrepreneur, I congratulate you on your initiative and invite you to accept our seven-day challenge,” said David G. Brown, president and CEO, Greater Omaha Chamber.
