The largest young professionals conference in the nation brought together more than 1,300 young professionals, both in-person and virtually, to learn, connect, and inspire

Fifteen breakout sessions in addition to the powerful opening keynote from Journalist, Author and Entrepreneur Gaby Natale and closing keynote from Performance Painter, David Garibaldi and a lunch panel with inspiring Change Makers made for a day to remember.

Many attendees were excited to be gathered in-person for the first time in over two years. Mallory Johnson, High School Program Coordinator with College Possible, has attended a few YP Summits and was glad to be back in-person. “It was great connecting in break-out spaces and being able to participate more fully in the experience.”

While getting the opportunity to mingle and network in-person was a standout for the day, breakout session content also spoke to participants. “I really enjoyed the break-out selections; there were many that I wanted to be in at the same time.” said Ireydisa Gomez-Hall, Bilingual Quality Child Care Specialist at Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative. “I attended Launch your Playbook to ‘Start up’ in 8 easy steps in the AM breakout. Having started a new position recently, this was a great opportunity to create my path and mission within my role.”

The YP Summit is made possible each year through volunteer support from the YP Summit Planning Committee, the YP Council, Greater Omaha Chamber staff, community volunteers, and generous sponsors. Want to get involved in creating an inspiring event for 2023? Apply for the YP Summit Planning Committee (both leadership and member positions are open now!) or learn more about the YP Council. Applications for the YP Council will open in September 2022.

Next year’s YP Summit will be held on March 24, 2023, at the CHI Health Center in Omaha.
