Omaha, NE., Nov. 8, 2019 – Amy Liu, vice president and director of the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings and the Adeline M. and Alfred I. Johnson Chair in Urban and Metropolitan Policy, will deliver the keynote address at the Greater Omaha Chamber’s upcoming Economic Outlook Luncheon, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Embassy Suites Omaha – La Vista.

Liu frequently writes about inclusive economic growth, the fortunes of mid-sized cities and small towns, and the intersection of economic, workforce, and community development policies. The author of “Remaking Economic Development,” Liu was also lead editor of “Resilience and Opportunity: Lessons from the Gulf Coast after Katrina and Rita.”

“Amy has a well-deserved reputation as a national expert on cities and metropolitan areas who is able to translate that insight into action on the ground,” said David G. Brown, the Chamber’s president and CEO.

Liu’s insights promise to challenge attendees to think more broadly about community prosperity and inclusive economic growth, the principles necessary for success, and the challenges and opportunities facing the Greater Omaha region.

Luncheon guests will also benefit from reporting on the most current, regional economic trends and the results of the annual, Chamber-driven Economic Outlook Survey, exclusive insights attendees can check against internal projections.

“The value of our annual Economic Outlook Luncheon comes from the information that’s shared,” Brown said. “We want the crowd to take it all in and apply it to help their businesses grow.”

The cost is $70 per member or $85 for nonmembers. Tables of 10 are $700 for members and $850 for nonmembers. Reservations are due by Nov. 12, 2019 through OmahaChamber.org/EOL.

The Economic Outlook Luncheon is sponsored by ACCESSbank, BairdHolm, D.A. Davidson, Deloitte, and Lamp Rynearson.
