No Coasting, No Problem for Greater Omaha Chamber Members

It was another great week, right here in River City, Chamber Members, thanks to your commitment to community engagement.
There’s no such thing as a sure thing; but for members with equal parts probity and panache, you, Chamber Member Champions, are as good as it gets.
Need proof? Second-quarter numbers are in; and, to date, regional capital investment commitments exceed $1.3 billion.
Prosperity? We got that. More than that, however, is your ambition to uplift, uphold and empower everyone for success. You accelerate others’ accomplishments, push for prodigious achievements and include all. It’s a formula few can replicate, but Greater Omaha holds the recipe for keeping it real and caring for our neighbors. Maybe that’s why SmartAsset named Omaha the No. 4 Best City to Raise a Family in 2018.
Regional rankings aside, you can pat yourself on the back, because this past week, we saw KANEKO announce their fifth annual Open Space Soirée, celebrated Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium planting the two millionth tree in Madagascar, prepped to join the September 16 salute to the USS Omaha and curated a We Don’t Coast calendar with more entertaining options than Autumn has falling leaves.
That’s not all: Our Plattsmouth friends, and HDR experts, received a super shout-out in Landscape Online, with a walk down Main Street that will make you feel right at home, while ACI announced Coding for Girls and Sandler Training scheduled a September 19 open house.
Add to this the September 15 Battin’ for Batten (thanks for sharing, Care Consultants for the Aging); and, Nebraska Preparedness Partnership’s September 12 workshop designed to help our region cope should we be faced with disaster; and, clearly, we are a community connected.
In fact, this place is alive with promise; from the Greater Omaha Chamber’s Make / Happen, a conference for doers, to the energy of Speed Networking at Dave & Buster’s, there is something special happening here, a Midwestern magic that is equal parts spirited and authentic.
Now, whether you enjoyed a languid Labor Day, kicked it Hawkeye style or weathered the storm with the Huskers this past Saturday, know that you, Magnificent Members are the secret to the symbiotic resonance of heart and home that characterizes Greater Omaha. You thread us together, celebrate our inseparable spirit and illustrate exactly who we are. We are passionate. We are inspired. We are O.NE.
