OMAHA, NE – The Greater Omaha Chamber, the region’s leading business membership organization, is excited to announce that its GrOW program has become an independent entity, now named The Work Lab Inc. This transition aims to enhance the program’s impact on the community by providing focused support to partner companies and their employees.
The Work Lab Inc. offers a unique service model, including on-site WorkLife Coaches, to assist employees with personal and career-related challenges. This approach not only supports individual growth but also addresses workforce development needs, contributing to a thriving business community.
Heath Mello, President and CEO of the Omaha Chamber, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, highlighting its potential to foster sustainable impact and innovation in workforce development. The Work Lab will continue to collaborate closely with the Chamber, reinforcing their shared commitment to talent development and economic growth in the Omaha area.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with The Work Lab as they work with employers to address the unique challenges of today’s workforce,” said Mello.
Chad Mares, Executive Director of The Work Lab, emphasized the program’s role in creating sustainable talent development strategies that benefit both individuals and employers. The organization maintains partnerships with several key employers in the community, showcasing its commitment to addressing the evolving needs of the workforce. “The transition from the GrOW program to The Work Lab represents the fulfillment of our original mission to build a new, sustainable talent development strategy that can impact individuals in the workplace and at home, provide marketplace value to employers, and can provide insight into broader trends that we can use to develop and implement additional strategies to address the future of work,” said Mares.

As part of the transition, The Work Lab will retain key partnerships with employers in the community, including Lozier Corporation, North End Teleservices, Signature Performance, Oxbow Animal Health, QLI, Airlite Plastics, Children’s Nebraska, and Sun Valley Landscaping.
