When it comes to transition, we’re committed to positive change; and, as we continue to enjoy our vibrant new Chamber space, we’re pleased to report transformation of our courtyard space at the 1301 Harney location continues.

You’ll recall our courtyard:  Over these past many years, it’s created a sense of community, with the exhibition of the region’s signature O! Dude sculpture, a home for protected, native grasses, access to community bike-riding, locations for lunching, learning and relaxing, as well as powerful messaging with our “We Don’t Coast” wall and lighted signboard.

Plus, this same space has been home to food trucks, eateries, concerts, holiday celebrations and more. It’s part of our Downtown heritage, and we’re ready to share our memories with even more people.

This means, from plantings to products, from art to artifacts, we’re actively transitioning the courtyard to new life in Greater Omaha. O! Dude will have a soon-to-be-announced new home. The prairie grasses will make a move, as will the courtyard’s fountain.

Our nationally recognized “We Don’t Coast” wall is under review for new locations; and, we can’t wait for you to see where our region’s brand will pop-up next.

As we change and grow, as we increase inclusivity by physically extending our community-courtyard attitude into Greater Omaha, know that you have our gratitude, and hold our hearts.

Beginning August 31, public activities in the Chamber courtyard will end, and we’ll enter the next phase of our continued growth.

There may be no such thing as standing still, but community is forever.

Here’s to our continued future together.
