Careerockit is back, representing six counties, more than 80 schools and 13,000 registered student experiences – in an initiative designed to create career interest, grow the area’s talent pipeline and connect organizations with future employees. Business registration for the Greater Omaha Chamber-driven initiative is now open.

“Attracting and retaining talent starts right here, in our region. Last year, Careerockit launched with unprecedented community support. More than 90 organizations built nearly 12,000 incredible, hands-on learning experiences for area students. Already, students, educators and business partners are responding with high enthusiasm this year, and we are motivated by the opportunities this program offers tomorrow’s workforce,” said David G. Brown, president and CEO, Greater Omaha Chamber.

Businesses and employers participating in the program are paired with elementary through post-secondary students seeking engagement, information and experiences in a host of fields – all of which can increase understanding of the synergies between education and employment and influence decisions for students’ chosen careers.

Careerockit launches February 12-18, 2018. Business registration closes December 15, 2017.

About Careerockit: A program of the Greater Omaha Chamber and supported by community partners, the initiative aims to connect our business and educational community to meet current and future talent needs. Together – we can provide students and young adults with opportunities to move along the learning pipeline, gain applicable knowledge and build excitement for growing career options, right here.
