LIVE IT

We wore born on the banks of the Missouri River – in the grit and the slosh – and raised by the steel resolve of the railroad tracks.

We have forged a path from nothing to notorious, from notorious to a great next-generation city. Always moving forward. In times of challenge and triumph.

That’s who we are – and who we’ve always been.

Omaha – We Don’t Coast. Be part of the movement.

Generosity & Compassion are in our DNA

Imagine if we all tried to not coast.
If we all did a little, think how much better we would all be.
We believe that here, you truly have the opportunity to create the life you desire.
We are passionate about this community.
Let’s make it a place where we lift others up, and help others over.
A place where we love, we fight, we work, we play.
A place where We Don’t Coast.

Real Life Scientist. Accidental Inventor.

And just like that, something happens that can change your life and the lives of others forever… For Omaha’s James Hermsen, a carpenter by trade, it was that moment he stepped on and broke his glasses while helping a friend frame a straw-bale house. With a cordless drill in hand, he fixed his glasses and kept working. But, that was not the end of it.

In a time when people live on their screens, tablets and cell phones, SHARE Omaha seeks to bridge the gap between eager volunteers and local nonprofits.

An online tool that allows local community members to directly connect with area nonprofits, SHARE Omaha engages users by showcasing nonprofit needs awaiting volunteers and contributors of all ages.

With opportunities for more than 300 organizations, the SHARE Omaha platform is a multi-faceted tool designed to build community engagement.

It’s easy to do good. Together.

It’s a core aspect of our “We Don’t Coast”-mindset – a foundational belief that being others-focused is more than an occasional way to live, it’s a wall-to-wall way of life. That kind of thinking inspired Mosah Fernandez Goodman, one of 2015’s Ten Outstanding Young Omahans, to launch 24-Hours of Impact with six other co-founders. The concept is simple: local companies and organizations choose exactly one hour to do as much good as they can. The type of good is totally up to them.
