July Small Business of the Month: Capstone Consulting
Integrity, hard work and servant leadership – they are the seeds from which Omaha-based Capstone Consulting has grown into a global technology company. Founded in 1999, it now has satellite offices in Colorado and Romania.
“We train our employees to serve our clients with a servant mindset,” says Omaha office manager Natalie Peterson.
Capstone’s team of around 90 employees, including approx. 30 in Omaha, provides services in cloud computing, process automation, application development and IT staffing.
“Capstone creates an atmosphere that fosters honesty, support and mentorship,” Peterson says. “We want to not only grow our employees in their jobs but as individuals as well. We stress character, all while developing a great product.”
Winning Insights from Our July Winner:
“At Capstone, we strive to be Servant Partners. A Servant Partner is someone who shares risks and rewards with their partner (client), puts the needs of the partner first, and helps the relationship develop and perform as effectively as possible.
“Demonstrating Servant Partnership is vital to our mission. We believe this so strongly that we've developed a Certified Servant Partner course for our whole team.”
“At Capstone, each individual matters, and company goals and accomplishments are shared. We have a “Build Your Own Adventure” (BYOA) program. If an individual wants to start a project or has a new solution, he or she is encouraged to speak up and take initiative. Our leadership encourages individuals to try new things and builds a culture in which it is safe to fail.”
“Being a member of the Greater Omaha Chamber has helped our business become more involved in the community around us. Being connected to other members and businesses through the Chamber is a quick and effective way for Capstone to get involved in the community.”
