In these final weeks of 2018 as we all slow down and remember the year, we can’t help but keep talking about the year to come! Don’t get me wrong, Kitchen Council has had a tremendous year. Since launching in February ‘18, we have grown by leaps and bounds in our membership, supporting community and knowledge. Yes, 2018 is one for the books, but 2019 promises to be even better.
Kitchen Council will continue to expand its membership at all levels, including the launch of a new offering, the Associate Membership package is designed for those who want to incubate a food business idea before jumping into production. This offering coincides with the roll out of our formal business assistance programming for all membership levels, as well as educational workshops and events that will be open to the public. Kitchen Council programming will also be ramping up in the new year as we host regular events such as DIY workshops, An Evening with an Entrepreneur and our Pop-Up Dinner Series.
It’s going to be a big year and we are going to make it count, for 2019 will be the last year Kitchen Council is located in its unique, but beloved temporary home in this old Famous Dave’s. In 2020, Kitchen Council will move to Pottawattamie Arts, Culture and Entertainment (PACE)’s Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center. Currently under construction, this multi-use shared facility will house Chanticleer Community Theater, Kanesville Symphony Orchestra and American Midwest Ballet, formerly Ballet Nebraska. Kitchen Council will provide culinary arts programming and pop-up café service for theater goers.
Please stay tuned for exciting announcements and invitations to fun and delicious events!
