This team is at the core of retaining Omaha's young talent. Young Professionals are learning about "Our Omaha" by attending interactive presentations, where they learn about what Omaha has to offer them, how to get connected and involved.
Recognizing the need to connect with young professionals in and out of the work place a team of 'proactive minglers' is being formed. This high energy group will go where young professionals are to educate them about what Omaha has to offer them, how to get connected and involved. No event or location is off limits. Be on the look out for them the next time you are out and about!

Planning is underway for the third annual Young Professionals Summit, Leading the Vision, to be held in March 6, 2008.
New for the 2008 Summit will be the presentation of the first Young Professionals Award given to employers in the metro area who are excelling at retaining and engaging young talent within their organization.
When you think about what makes Omaha great, what comes to mind? Wish more people knew about Omaha's great night life, amazing art scene or it's unique vibe? Volunteers will work closely with local stakeholders to look at how we market our community to those in and outside of Omaha.

Now its time to hear the other side of the story....from young professionals. The Council is looking for career-oriented individuals, under 40-years-old, who are interested in providing creative ideas about recruitment and retention.
Join a confidential roundtable discussion where we can learn how the Chamber and Omaha businesses can help make our city the place young professionals want to be.
