O! History
Started in 2003, the O! campaign was started through the combined efforts of the Greater Omaha Chamber in cooperation with the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city of Omaha and several Omaha businesses and philanthropic organizations as a way to represent the community's passion for progress. It embodies and defines our excitement for the vitality of our community now and into the future. The O! campaign's original intent was for grassroots usage of the O! symbol throughout the community and it has remained that today. It has been used in numerous creative ways, including the popular O! Public Art Project sculptures. Today you'll find the O! in the Chamber's courtyard, in holiday lights, on university and corporate marketing materials and even on family reunion t-shirts - - all with the idea of celebrating our great community.
