Chamber Announces Fastest Growing Companies, Small Business Awards

Despite a downturn in the economy, Omaha business is on the rise. Each year, the Chamber, in cooperation with KPMG, LLP, honors 25 of the area’s fastest growing, privately owned businesses and their contributions to the growth and success of the entire community. This year’s nominations revealed phenomenal growth and extremely close competition. Therefore, the Chamber is able to recognize the 26 companies listed below:

The Omaha 25 will be honored at the Chamber’s Small Business Awards Luncheon May 20 at the Holiday Convention Centre. The Small Business Council will present awards, sponsored by First Westroads Bank, to the following individuals:

Robyn Thelander, RTI Technical Training Solutions, will receive the New Business of the Year Award. This award, given to companies in existence for less than three years, honors financial stability, outstanding customer service and community service.

Todd Feltz, Feltz WealthPLAN, has been named Small Business Person of the Year. This award recognizes exemplary leadership, commitment to small business, innovative product/service offerings and balanced business and community involvement.

Bill Goedken, Profitstar, Inc., is the Entrepreneur of the Year. This award requires personal involvement in the start-up or turn-around of a successful business by risking personal capital or having no capital. It honors the development of a breakthrough product or service through innovative approach, developing a large customer base and creating opportunities for the entrepreneur and others.
