Ribbon Cut at Yahoo! Data Center
Published: Feb. 18, 2010

Congratulations to Yahoo! on the ribbon cutting of their new data center. The Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership worked closely with representatives from Yahoo! prior to their selection of the La Vista site.

David G. Brown, president and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber, said, "Opening this data center completes the vision Yahoo! had when they selected greater Omaha as the location for this state-of-the-art facility. Yahoo! recognized our well-educated, productive workforce and affordable, quality of life as real incentives in recruiting and hiring people to fill their high-tech jobs. Their investment acknowledges our location at the crossroads of the nation's telecommunications network - making us a core Internet city."
