Competition Determines Top Ten Omaha Employers
Published: Feb. 27, 2008

Employees in the Greater Omaha area have spoken to determine the results of the 2008 Best Places to Work in Omaha competition.

The competition, sponsored by the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Baird Holm LLP, encourages companies to measure employee satisfaction by participating in an online survey.

According to Scott S. Moore, founder of the event and partner at Baird Holm, "The goals of the competition are to honor companies that have created positive work environments; to recognize and share best practices; to promote Omaha and Omaha-area employers and to provide valuable feedback and data to participating companies to assist them in measuring levels of employee satisfaction and engagement."

Right Management Consultants, which is the survey provider, is meeting with each participating employer to discuss its individual results. The findings are intended to serve as the basis for increasing the work-place satisfaction of employees, and therefore their engagement.

Chamber President and CEO David G. Brown said, "This competition identifies best practices and provides feedback to the participating companies. Companies that use that feedback to make changes in their organizations improve the overall work climate in Omaha. Engaged, productive employees make business stronger."

The following firms will be honored at an 11:45 a.m. luncheon celebration on April 17 at Qwest Center Omaha. The luncheon is in conjunction with Baird Holm's 20th Annual Labor Law Forum.
